Pain affects our mood and perception.

Updated: Mar 16, 2022

Pain doesn't make you happier

The above statement seems pretty straightforward right? If a person is in pain their less likely to be happy. So, why do we keep putting off that dull ache in your back? Why are we not addressing that knee that hurts on every single walk? That achy neck that is always bothering you?

There are exercises and therapies that can be applied to most chronic pain to alleviate and often improve day to day but they must be worked on consistently! I understand these things are hard work but have you ever considered how your personal pain is effecting how you're treating others? Are you perhaps less nice to that retail employee because your necks been bothering you all day? Projection is a very real thing that doesn't apply to just emotional trauma; it's very normal to project physical pain onto other in other forms of emotion.

Don't let a you problem be everyone else's. We've all got em... problems; the questions is whether or not we're addressing those issues or ignoring them. We've got the internet folks, go out there and educate yourself on your pain and/or seek a health professional for an actual diagnosis!

And to those of you actively in the trenches working your butt off to get better every day; trust the process and you'll get there.
